The poll results are out and they are not pretty.

I have been concentrating on the insanity on the Right. The Clown Car is the gift that keeps on giving—but some days, it does not give smiles, it gives heartburn.

Today is such a day.  CNN just released the CNN/ORC International poll for the GOP primaries in South Carolina and Nevada, which are the 3rd and 4th Republican primaries.

The results are jaw dropping; it is time to start packing my bags, type of results. It is truly disheartening that with all of the comments made by Trump and Carson, there are voters who continue to support them in such huge numbers.

The Donald holds a double-digit lead over The Good Doctor Carson.

Trump received 38% support in Nevada and 36% in South Carolina.
Carson came in 2nd at 22% and 18%.
No one, not one other clown, oops, potential candidate came near, with the 3rd place Fiorina getting 8%.
Rubio got 7%, Bush 6%, Cruz and Huckabee 4%, rest of the Clowns? Just looking.

Most of Trump’s support comes from those who believe that he is the best candidate to handle the economy (apparently his 4 business bankruptcies mean nothing to these voters) and 60% of those polled believe he is the best person to shake up the way things are done in Washington.

Based on those 2 poll questions, I realize how little these people understand about the way our government works and even less about the Constitution, which is more than the 2nd Amendment.

They have apparently missed the news coming out of DC.  The Freedom Caucus went to Washington to change the ways things are done.
They have accomplished 3 things so far: the Government shutdown in ’13, the resignation of a sitting Speaker and a downgrade of our country’s credit rating.
All of those happened for the first ever in our history.

I am taking comfort from the fact that the election is over a year from now and between now and then Dems will get it together and pull the lever for the Democratic nominee, whoever that might be.

  1. Apparently the Trumpet is made of Teflon. He inherited a good bit of wealth. Had he stashed it in an index stock fund he would have a lot more $ than he has now. So, his management skills are questionable. Carson's expertise as a pediatric neurosurgeon is a questionable qualification for the White House -- unless he's planning on lobotomizing his political opponents. And Carly took a company with mediocre products and turned it into a company with completely dysfunctional products. I think the people of South Carolina and Nevada have questionable judgment, anyway.

  2. Unfortunately there is a huge swath of Americans whose judgement is questionable.
