The new CNN/ORC poll shows
that The Donald rose 8 points in August and now has 32% support and Ben Carson,
this cycle’s 999 increased by 10 points to 19% support.
2 months ago, I was writing
about The Donald and the Clown Car, tongue in cheek, ha, ha, ha.
2 comments from one of my
pieces came to mind this morning when I saw the polls.
“Increasingly
I can see him as someone who could get elected and be the fascist we've never
had,” wrote one person and “That's exactly why I can't enjoy The Donald. He's
Mussolini and Berlusconi rolled into one. We need that like we need a hole in
the head.” wrote another.
The rest of the poll results
were truly dismal, as not one of the other members of the car broke double
digits. The fact that Jeb Bush (3rd)
is at 9% is fine, we do not need another Bush leading us into wars and
supporting tax breaks for the 1% while the rest of us are bleeding.
There is not one passenger
on the Clown Car, who is White House ready, so no matter what the poll results,
it is imperative that on 11/9/16, the new President be a Democrat.
Trump’s support comes mostly
from Republicans and right leaning independents.
But most frightening is the
fact that his gains in the new poll came from women and college graduates.
Are there enough votes in
this country to hand the White House to Donald Trump?
From “anchor babies” to
disgusting remarks about Mexicans, to starting fights with China, Trump has not
had one idea that would be good for America and the world.
But he is saying all of the
things that is felt in the hearts and discussed at private gatherings of a
substantial number of us. He has given voice to the citizens who are part of
the very ugly underbelly of these United States of America and so his poll numbers
continue to rise and we wait for him to falter and we shiver when he continues
to gain in popularity.
The full poll results are
available here from CNN.
I SO agree with everything you wrote!! Well said. It IS very depressing and scary to see what is happening. Unbelievable, actually. That is why we ALL have to get out there and vote next November. Each and everyone of us!! No excuses!
ReplyDeleteIf we do not, when all hell breaks loose, we will not have anyone to blame but our lazy selves.
DeleteNot too surprising. Both the Trumpet and Carson are tapping into the same disillusionment with "business as usual" politicians. On the Democratic side some of Sanders support originates with the same discontent. Sanders is a "politician" - but, an unorthodox one - to be sure. Republicans and Democrats have little faith in "the process" any more. (Little wonder - given that our system has failed to pass a budget or pass any meaningful legislation to control the excesses of the financial community, do anything to simplify our acknowledged "unfair" tax system, adopt any kind of intelligent policies relating to climate or energy or gun control. Honestly: Everybody (Republican, Democrat, Independent, Libertarian or Socialist is just plain "fed up".
ReplyDeleteAnd 7 years later Justice has finally decided to go after individuals on Wall Street. Every time I think about the fact those people brought our economic house to its knees, kept their freedom and ill-gotten gains, I want to scream.
ReplyDeleteThe only way I can keep the nightmares at bay is to keep telling myself that he is an undercover democrat!!! 😭
