Rance Priebus has announced that the White House is the GOPs to
lose in 2016. As usual I wonder what is it they know that the rest of us do
not.
Based on the 2012 debacle I have to say that he and his cohorts are
living in a dream world. Looking at polls that are designed to make them feel
good about the party which in reality is at the edge of the abyss.
As the remaining members of the Clown Car prep for the 2nd
debate, we are treated to sound bites that would send the rabbit back down the
hole to protect his sanity.
Walker has decided that the way to get his campaign back on track
(was it ever on track?) is to break the back of unions throughout the US, the
way he was able to do in his home state. That platform will not get him into
the Oval Office except as a guest. In fact, no platform will. But I digress.
Christie has informed us that “Bridgegate” is not a stain on his
record and he has handled the entire situation in a way that has been good for
him. If you believe that, Governor, I have a bridge for you.
Trump said “it’s
hard to believe some of the people that we have in office” but he is trying to be elected to our highest
office. Now that would be the pot wanting to be as black as the kettle.
He also questioned Carson’s energy level. Do we think that after
all of the taxpayer funded education that he (Carson) received and years
working at a very stressful job, he is now old and tired? I don’t know if he is
tired, but I do know (oh no, I agree with the Donald) that he is not qualified
to be the President of the US of A.
And last but not least, there is Fiorina. She has decided that she
will she will engage The Donald at the debate. I hope she has more success
fighting with him than she had running HP. (30+K jobs lost, and 65% decrease in
the stock value.) And she wants to sit in the Oval office.
Is there a member of the GOP who could make Priebus’ ‘ours to lose’
comment true? Maybe, but that person is not on the current Car.
Priebus sounds like someone who says a baseball team should win the World Series on paper. Check out the Washington Nationals to see how that works out.
ReplyDeleteAnd unless that paper has some hanging chads, he is going to feel like Wile E. Coyote on a bad day.
I am on ROFL. That's good and he has earned your disrespect.
Deletewonderful write and right on the money June... you nailed them all for what they are... (Peeka-boo) I see you, is right there hehehee
ReplyDeleteThat crew leaves me speechless
DeleteIt's way to early to suggest that the National Election in Nov. 2016 is "anybody's to lose". Too many variables at play to suggest that there's a real favorite at this point. The first thing for the GOP to concentrate on is finding a credible, viable candidate. Anybody with enough appeal within the GOP to capture the nomination is likely to be too far to the right politically - or too much of a lunatic - to win a general election. Nominate a more moderate candidate (McCain or Romney) and most of the party faithful will only provide tepid support. Not a recipe for success. Right now the Democrats are not in much better shape. Hillary is far from "inevitable" and, perhaps, if she does capture the nomination, she may not be electable. Too much can happen between now and then to say that there is any favorite at this point. Tell me where the economy will be a year from now.
ReplyDeleteWhoever gets the Democratic nomination would be a far better choice than any Republican that they can put up. I was leaning towards Hillary but as the previous poster said she's coming with a lot of baggage that matters to a lot of people for reasons I don't understand some of this is personal baggage. If Bernie Sanders and Elizabeth Warren was on the ticket it would be a landslide against Donald Trump and whoever or even Jeb Bush and whoever. Sensible Republican Party people know what their leaders did shut down the government all that stupid stuff, silly season on Obama wasted millions billions even trillions of dollars on programs that did nothing for the American people. Even they have turned on their leaders to the likes of Donald Trump.
