Where did we go wrong?
THE HYPOCRITES
The news overnight from the
Beltway is typical of the hypocrites that populate the Party of Family and
Christian Values.
Kevin McCarthy according to
several news sources did not withdraw from the race to become Speaker of the
House for altruistic reasons, but for extra-marital affair reasons.
He apparently decided to
spare his party a repeat of 1998. (The Speaker-Elect resigned following the
disclosure that he was having an extra-marital affair, while spearheading the
impeachment of President Clinton.)
What happens now?
Boehner stays on and nothing
gets done. (A legion of Tea Party Congressmen went to Washington and discovered
that they could not turn their campaign rhetoric into law, and have responded
by turning on the GOP leadership. THE GOP is on its way to joining The Whig
Party).
Newt Gingrich has indicated
he would be willing to serve. He would be 2nd in the Presidential
line of succession, as any Tea Bagger elected Speaker would be. Newt? What a
frightening thought.
No Speaker is elected and
then what? Congress closes its doors and goes home (hopefully without pay)
until the current session ends? That would be January 2017 or more likely until
January 2016. (In reality this is not an option or is it?)
Could Treasury with an
executive order from the President pay the bills?
The GOP in their death march
off a cliff is again threatening to take the country with them.
THE MISOGYNISTS, continued
Let me begin today with the
leader of the pack, the one with the highest poll numbers in the Clown Car.
That is of course is The
Donald.
On abortion, wants it
banned. A man, who can never become pregnant, wants to take away what can be a
life saving procedure.
However, he is willing to
make an exception in cases where the life of the mother is threatened, rape or
incest. I am pleased that unlike others,
he is willing to give those three exceptions, which is very generous of him.
Of course, there are 2 ways
to avoid pregnancy in fertile women. Those are abstinence and birth control.
Well The Donald gives with one hand and takes away with the other, since he
wants to repeal the ACA, a law that allows women to get birth control with no co-pay. (Is he going to pass a law controlling access
to ED drugs? I doubt it.)
And of course
like most, or is it every member of the GOP, he wants to defund Planned
Parenthood. Including joining the Dishonored Senator from Texas in calling for
a government shutdown if necessary to accomplish that goal.
Rick Santorum.
“Many of the Christian faith have said, ‘Well
that’s okay, contraception is okay.’ It’s not okay. It’s a license to do things
in a sexual realm that is counter to how things are supposed to be.”
That statement
of nonsense was spoken by one of the perennial candidates.
Mr. Santorum
wishes the same as the rest. 1: Ban
abortions (no exceptions, I wonder if his reasoning is impacted by his wealth
and ability to care for his special needs child, which would impossible for so
many of his fellow Americans.)
2: This is the best—States
should be allowed to ban birth control.
3: And of course defund
Planned Parenthood.
Almost all of the other
members of the Clown Car have stated some version of the anti woman sentiments.
Those in favor of taking
away a woman’s right to choose are:
Chris Christie, who proudly
announced that as Governor of New Jersey, he vetoed funding for Planned
Parenthood 6 times. Pity he did not veto shutting down the GW Bridge. Carly
Fiorina, Lindsey Graham, Mike Huckabee, Bobby Jindal (who compared women having
abortions to criminals) John Kasich and Rand Paul.
The ex members of the car
who have the same attitudes are Scott Walker and Rick Perry.
George Pataki.is the only member
of the Car who does not follow the same path.
As usual, well written!.....and your title is right on!!!
ReplyDeleteLet me tell you in the GOP House of Rep they have about 20 to 25 leadership positions out of all those positions there are old white men one white woman and she's charge of housekeeping I'm not kidding she's the administrative chief of housekeeping for the offices and staff of the House of Representatives
ReplyDeleteI know. I am still trying to figure out when and with GOP made this sharp right turn in to the swamp.
DeleteI am so tired of men who can never give birth thinking they know and understand the body and minds of women. Women have spoken all over this country and they refuse to hear or think they ladies just don't understand and we must take care of them.
ReplyDeleteWell this is what I have to say, so many of them say there must be a two parent home... A lot of these old guys remarry and get trophy wives.. men tend to die long before women so lets make a law that says once you reach the age of 40 and are male we must remove your testicles, cause we know you cannot control your lust and we can not have you leaving babies behind when you die early. (What I just wrote makes as much sense as a law as what the old men who write laws want to do to women. ) Get out of our bodies for gosh sake.
